AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stressed the soft war waged against enemies is in fact a war against proximity thoughts warning of social networks and satellite channels as tools to divide people.
Sheikh Hamid Shahriari, senior Shia cleric, on the last day of his trip to the Iranian province of Kermanshah attended presser to warn of enemies’ use of religious figures from different Islamic denominations to provoke Muslims against each other.
He said, ”Some so-called religious scholars are at service of enemies instead of contributing for Islam and Muslims because of their ignorance.”
He counted religious education and boosting seminaries as the key solutions in line with protecting Islamic unity.
The cleric also warned of desecration as a repercussion of ignorance in religious leaders and quoted the fatwa (religious decree) by the Supreme Leader banning desecration of other religions.
Sheikh Shahriari referred to history of religious, ethnical and tribal coexistence in Iran and hailed Kermanshah province as a perfect instance and a leading region for Islamic unity.
He appreciated the Shia and Sunni communities in Kermanshah for promoting unity and fraternity urging them to stand vigilant against hostile plots and prevent any damage to their solidarity.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought referred a new proposal on mutual cooperation in the Muslim world and said the proposal will introduce virtual services, religious tourism and production of cultural contents.
The Shia cleric concluded his remarks with the message of unity for the people and religious scholars in Kermanshah province.
